PAUL KREKOW

OWNER & HELI-SKI GUIDE

Paul was born and raised in Seattle Washington. He spent his childhood exploring and skiing around Puget Sound in the Cascade and Olympic mountains. After Graduating with a BA from the University of Colorado, Paul decided to immerse himself in the guide life. He moved to British Columbia where he attended the Adventure Guide Diploma program at Thompson Rivers University. From BC, he traveled back to the U.S and spent a few winters Ski Patrolling in Utah. In the winter of 2010/11, the guide itch was too great and he made a move to northern Idaho where he began guiding for a cat skiing operation. The following winter he was offered an apprentice heli-guiding position in Valdez AK, fueling helicopters to earn his stripes. The "snowpocalypse" and the Chugach mountains sank their teeth in. The hook was set but Valdez was a junk show. After a year of sailing through the tropics, Paul finally made his way to Cordova where he found his place as a lead guide and eventually operations manager and co-owner. It’s been a wild ride, and somehow its seems like things are just beginning. Here to provide another best day ever, Paul’s mission is to take you to the next level in your ski career, and Alaska is the perfect venue to do so.
